Peter is a well-known professional land economist and forecaster and is Chief Economist at Altus Group and General Manager of Altus Group Economic Consulting. Pierce Lefebvre Consulting specializes in providing economic and management consulting services to its private and public sector clients.  The company was formed in 1994 when two economists, Sylvie Lefebvre and Claude Pierce established the firm.  Our company specializes in the following areas: socio-economic assessment, community and economic development, cost/benefits studies, socio-economic research for Environmental Assessments and strategic planning. 

Our firm has undertaken assignments that touched on all major industrial sectors in BC and Western Canada including forestry, mining, energy, tourism, recreation, transportation, commercial fishing and aquaculture.  We have been involved in conducting socio-economic assessments of land use planning decisions since the BC Commission of Resources and the Environment (CORE) in the early 1990s.  We have been involved in numerous projects involving the evaluation and development of government policies.  We have conducted socio-economic and socio-community assessments for numerous private sector and government led industrial and infrastructure projects as part of the BC Environmental Assessment and Canadian Environmental Assessment processes.  Most recently, this has included significant work conducted for the Canada Line, the Evergreen Line, a major pipeline project in BC and several mining projects.   Much of our work has involved working with First Nations, community representatives and stakeholder groups.
