In this workshop, Harriet Jackson of Finance Canada will provide an overview of the main details of the highly-anticipated 2017 federal budget.

About the Speaker:

Harriet Jackson became General Director, Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch, Finance Canada in early 2016. Her key responsibilities are supporting the preparation of the federal budget, providing advice on economic and fiscal issues and coordinating the work of the Minister’s Advisory Council on Economic Growth. Prior to this appointment, she was a Senior Officer at the Bank of Canada, overseeing the development of monetary policy advice in the Canadian Economic Analysis Department. Harriet has held a number of positions at the Department of Finance and Privy Council Office, working on international and domestic policy issues. Harriet has a Master’s degree in Economics from McMaster University.



Pre-registration is mandatory for security purposes. The registration deadline is 5pm on Monday, March 20, or earlier if the event reaches capacity.
