Each dedicated table will host one or two economics professionals. In small groups of three to five, mentees will spend approximately 15 minutes per table and then rotate to another table. The conversations will be informal to provide ample opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion. Some sample or ‘ice-breaker’ questions will be available at the tables, and mentees are encouraged to come prepared with their own work- or career-related questions.
The Ottawa Economics Association (OEA) is a non-profit organization offering a program of speakers, conferences and technical workshops focused on economic policy. We are the local Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Association for Business Economics (CABE). We sponsor a monthly series of speakers, typically held over the lunch hour. Each March, the OEA and CABE jointly host a policy conference.
