ABOUT THE TOPIC
Have inflationary pressures eased or grown in recent months? Is the economy operating close to capacity? How prominent a role will the recent trade dispute play in monetary policy decisions? Is the Bank biased towards a tighter monetary policy or towards the status quo? What are the main risks to the economic outlook?
Join us to hear a detailed overview of the Bank's policies and strategies, plus a look at the current economic climate and its implications for inflation.
This event will follow by one day the Bank of Canada’s release of its quarterly Monetary Policy Report and as such will be especially timely.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Laurent Martin was appointed Senior Policy Advisor of the Bank of Canada’s Canadian Economic Analysis Department (CEA) in December 2017. In this capacity, he is part of the leadership team that directs and manages the department.
