Our Webinar

Statistics Canada has developed a new dissemination model culminating in a redesign of the digital dissemination products and tools, notably the web site. 

Bill Joyce is currently the director of Dissemination Division at Statistics Canada.  He joined the agency in 1991 and has held a variety of roles over the years including that of the manager of the 2006 Census dissemination program.  He has been in his present role since 2011 and, in this capacity, Bill is responsible for the Statistics Canada website.

The seminar will focus on;

  • An overview of the recent changes to the Statistics Canada Website

  • A summary of user feedback to date

  • Improvements already implemented

  • Improvements and enhancements to come

  • Short term

  • Longer term

  • Discussion and questions, suggestions on additional improvements needed.

 Logistics

The webinar will be delivered using WebEx technology. This requires that you have Java enabled on your computer and Internet access. Slides will be made available after the presentation.  Sound will be available through a phoneline (recommended) and through the computer (mute your computer if using the phone).  Questions can be posted through the WebEx Chat.  The phone lines will be open for discussion at the end of the formal presentation.  Login instructions will be sent before the event to all registered subscribers and included with registration information.  You are welcome to have multiple persons attend a session at your organization using one registration.
