Middle Class in Canada: A Generational Perspective


What are the major socio-economic issues faced by each generation of Canadians and how do these differ across regions? New and insightful statistical information will be provided on issues that affect the well-being of Millennials, Generation X, and Baby-Boomers. The presentation will provide a new perspective on the policy conversation about the middle class in Canada.

About our speaker

Sébastien LaRochelle-Côté is the founding editor of Statistics Canada’s flagship publication on socio-economic issues, Insights on Canadian Society. He has contributed to numerous Statistics Canada publications, and also published in a number of academic books and journals, including the Canadian Journal of Economics and the Canadian Public Policy.  He is a frequent speaker on issues related to labour, income and social statistics.
