CABE WEBINAR - Statistics Canada – Economic and Social Research in the Analytical Studies Branch

The Analytical Studies Branch at Statistics Canada aims to produce statistical data and information of high quality and relevance that are used by Canadians in support of decision making and research in the public and private sectors.  Within the Analytical Studies Branch are the Economic Analysis Division and Social Analysis and Modelling Division.  These two divisions conduct research and data development on a wide range of economic and social issues relating to productivity, business dynamics, innovation, globalization, firm competitiveness, economic geography, labour economics, immigration, education, pensions and retirement, and well-being.

In the spirit of developing a responsive, user-centric statistical agency, Danny Leung and Grant Schellenberg will present the current research and data development plans of the two divisions, and welcome feedback on future research directions and data gaps.
