WHO: Jason Hollett is the Executive Director of the Climate Change team at Nova Scotia Environment

In his 12 years with government, Jason Hollett has worked on renewable energy and energy efficiency at the Department of Energy, and on special projects at Finance and Treasury Board. Before joining the government, he worked in community economic development and spent some time as a teacher. Mr. Hollett is from Lockeport, NS.

WHAT: Nova Scotia’s Cap and Trade Program

This presentation will provide details of how Nova Scotia’s cap and trade program works including greenhouse gas emission caps, rules for distributing, as well as buying and selling greenhouse gas allowances. Estimated impacts on investment, consumption, competitiveness, exports, prices and productivity will be presented. Carbon pricing programs in other provinces will also be discussed.

WHEN: Friday, February 22nd, 2019 Noon to 1:45pm (Atlantic Daylight Time)

WHERE: Bank of Canada Atlantic Regional Office, 1701 Hollis St. (Founders Square), 13th Floor, Halifax, Nova Scotia

COST: Members: $10, Non-Members: $20 (A light lunch will be provided)

CONFERENCE CALL: A Skype and/or teleconference call option is available for those living outside of Halifax. The cost is the same as for in-person attendance.

REGISTRATION: Seating is limited and spaces will be reserved until we reach capacity. Visit the CABE Store to register for this event. You must register no later than end of day Wednesday, February 20th.

Refunds cannot be provided for cancellations and individuals seeking to register after February 20th will be charged a late registration fee of $20. Late registration can be made at the CABE store.
