Presentation on the Federal Budget 2019 with Finance Canada

In this workshop, Alison McDermott of Finance Canada will provide an overview of the main details of the highly-anticipated 2019 federal budget.

This session will be private, closed to media.

Pre-registration is mandatory because of Finance Canada security procedures and limited capacity. 

To register, please visit the online store by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019. Registration will close earlier should the event reach capacity. We regret that we cannot accept late registrations or registrations by email.

The James Michael Flaherty Building (90 Elgin St) can be accessed through entrances on Elgin St, Albert St and Slater St.

Proceed to the registration desk with signs for the event (next to the Commissionaires desk).

Security: Photo ID must be shown and your name must be on the registration list.  You will be escorted to the presentation room. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Please arrive by 10 a.m. as there will be no admission to the presentation room after 10 a.m.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Alison McDermott

Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Finance Canada

AlisonMcDermott

Alison McDermott joined the Department of Finance in July 2017 as Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of the Economic and Fiscal Policy Branch.

Previously she was Director General of the Science Programs and Partnerships branch of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, which manages federal investments in the higher education research sector. Alison previously held positions within the Fiscal Policy Division of the Department of Finance, most recently as Senior Chief of Revenue and Expenditure Analysis and Forecasting, and at the Privy Council Office and Industry Canada, including its regional office in Halifax.

Raised in Toronto, Alison has a Master’s degree in Economics from Queen’s University.
