Mentoring & Networking Event



Are you a young professional, student, or recent graduate interested in meeting experienced economics professionals? The Ottawa Economics Association (OEA), with support from the Canadian Association for Business Economics (CABE), is pleased to offer you a Mentoring and Networking Event on November 20, 2019.

This OEA Event will give you an opportunity to connect with multiple economics professionals during short group conversations, allowing you to build your network and learn about working in an economics career. Some light refreshments and snacks will be provided.


Date:                     Wednesday, November 20, 2019


Time:                     5:30pm: Registration & Networking

                              6:00pm - 7:00pm: Mentoring

                              7:00pm - 8:00pm: Networking


Location:               Heart and Crown ByWard Market

                              67 Clarence St, Ottawa ON K1N 5P5


Cost:                     Members of the OEA or CABE: Free

                             Non-members: $20 + HST



Registration is necessary as space is limited, is intended only for mentees and is targeted at students, recent graduates and young professionals. Please register through the online store by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Registration may close earlier should the event reach capacity.

Memberships may be purchased online in advance of the event. OEA New Professionals memberships are available for $40.00 and OEA Student Memberships for $10.00 (incl. HST). Members can attend OEA events at a discount and are invited to OEA members-only receptions, providing additional networking opportunities.
