With Beata Caranci and Dawn Desjardins
Join us for lunch and a fireside chat with Beata Caranci, Chief Economist for TD Bank Group and Dawn Desjardins Deputy Chief Economist for RBC to learn about their personal career paths. Beata and Dawn will share insights from her experience and outline tips that can be applied to your own career progression.

Beata Caranci
Beata Caranci is the Chief Economist for TD Bank Group. She joined the bank in 2003 and leads an agile team of economists, tasked with delivering analysis and forecasts for TD's planning process, as well as the regulatory stress test exercises. The team delivers on a wide scope of research, covering the Canadian, U.S., and global economies. Beata serves on a number of committees within TD, including the retirement investment committee, as well as being a member of C.D Howe's Monetary Policy Council and the American Bankers Economic Advisory Council.
Dawn Desjardins
Dawn Desjardins joined the Royal Bank Economics team in January 2006. She is a key contributor to the macroeconomic forecasts for Canada and the U.S. and is part of a team that is responsible for the interest rate forecasts for both countries. She is often interviewed by media from across North America to discuss developments in the economy and financial markets. Prior to joining RBC, Dawn worked as a reporter for Bloomberg Financial News in Toronto covering the Canadian bond and currency markets and was the Canadian bond market strategist for a major U.S. bank for ten years.
