The Atlantic Association of Applied Economists (AAAE) encourages you to attend the AAAE 2020 Student Panel! This is a great opportunity to learn from and support three Atlantic economics students as they present their research on pertinent economic issues.

This annual event is an also important for mentorship purposes. Past students have commented on benefiting greatly from the presentation experience and the feedback AAAE members provide. 

WHEN: Friday, March 20th, 2020, 12:00pm to 1:45pm

WHERE: Bank of Canada Atlantic Regional Office, 13th Floor, 1701 Hollis Street, Founders Square, Halifax

WHAT: AAAE 202 Student Panel - Come enjoy some lunch as you listen to three economics students from across the region share their research and discuss the potential relevance of their findings to Atlantic Canada.


  • Rebekah Howlett (Mount Allison University): The Persistence of the “Second Shift” for Working Women in Canada
  • Emilia Ganslandt (Acadia University): Reputational Punishment of Environmental Violations in Canada
  • Qiuhui Li (Dalhousie University): The Role of Pensions in the Increased Labour Force Participation of Seniors in Canada

COST: Members: Free, Non-Members: $10 (A light lunch will be provided.)

REGISTRATION: You must register in advance at the CABE Store. Seating is limited and spaces will be reserved until we reach capacity or until the close of registration at end of day Wednesday, March 18th, 2020.

Refunds cannot be provided for cancellations and individuals seeking to register after March 18th will be charged a late registration fee of $20.
