ABOUT THE TOPIC
How have recent trade developments impacted the Bank of Canada's economic outlook? Has concern about the COVID-19 virus impacted the outlook for economic growth? Have inflationary pressures eased or grown in recent months? How have levels of business investment and household debt evolved since the previous Monetary Policy Report? Is the economy operating close to capacity? What is the outlook for economic growth, and what are the main risks to that outlook?
These and other questions are addressed in the quarterly Monetary Policy Report to be released on April 15, setting out the factors considered by the Bank in arriving at its interest rate decision and bias.
Join us to hear a detailed overview of the Bank's policies and strategies, plus a look at the current economic climate and its implications for inflation.
