US Regional Data from Fed Stat
FedStats is a central site for statistical links with a very useful page for regional information. The rest of the site has organized data links from the other portions of the U.S. government.
The U.S. government doesn't have a data monopolist like Statistics Canada but it does have a generously organized set of public data available at a modest price. However, there are free datasets available from most departments. Check out www.fed-stats.gov for cheaper sources of data.
